Some of you remember we got a new driveway back in April. This is what it looks like, now we don't have to worry about getting stuck in the mud. They made an area to turn around and they connected our sidewalk to the driveway.

We also put cement on the front stoop/porch/whatever it is. We have never been sure what to call it as it really isn't big enough to be a porch. The previous owners had just dumped oyster shells here. Now it is nice and level and we can sit plant stands on it.

Scylla on Sunday ~ A Cat's Work Is Never Done

A cats work is never done, but I am pausing to smell the angel trumpets ( we don't have any roses).

I am chief inspector. Here I am inspecting Fenris' doghouse. It appears to be very spacious and comfy. Almost as good as a box.


Here I am helping Daddy play Halo. I am sure he plays much better when I coach him.

I also have to keep track of Charybdis. She is forever hiding from the beans when it is time to go to bed.

Here I am holding up the wall so it doesn't fall on Mommy. This is a very tiring and arduous job.

Charybdis & Cliff

(Blushing) Cliff thinks I am pretty and agreed to be my boyfriend. I was so excited I asked Ann from Zoolatry to make some pictures of us, and they are so pretty I just had to share them with our friends.

I am going to ask Mommy to put this one in our sidebar as I think it's very romantic.

Cliff likes to play so we shall have a wonderful time PLAYING.........................I thinks I shall teleport over to Denmark where he lives and pounce on him.

BTW mancats, I thinks my sister, Scylla is feeling a tad left out as she doesn't have a boyfriend. I know she is a tad demanding but she is really a loving and loyal girl once you get to know her.

Flowers on Friday

This is an Angel's Trumpet ( Brugmansia), the purple and white flower we used to think was an Angel's Trumpet is really a Devil's Trumpet (Datura). Apparently the easiest way to tell them apart is Angel's Trumpet point down, Devil's Trumpet point up. We are excited that we have both, but we thinks the Angel's Trumpet grows better.



Daddy has been working hard on the flower beds, he is almost finished he just needs the weather to cooperate so he can finish.

This is a pineapple sage. We loves it's pretty red blooms and it smells like a pineapple when you rub the leaves.

Dakota 2009

Dakota has gone to the rainbow bridge.

This pretty blue hydrange
reminds us of Dakota's tranquil blue eyes. We will think of her when we see them blooming in the Whiskers' Memorial Butterfly Garden.

Pill Pockets

Scylla the pill ~ I will not eat them and you can not make me

First we wants to think the Greenies people for sending us some to try. It was very nice of them to let us find out if they would work on Scylla without spending our green papers.

Scylla is a real pill she refused to eat the Heartguard tablet that me and Socks likes, so now we gets Advantage Multi put on us. It's not fair. Mommy thought maybe we could try hiding it in a Greenies Pill Pockets, but Scylla refuses to eat them too. We thinks Scylla only likes crunchy treats. Socks and I thought the pill pockets were delicious so now Mommy knows pill pockets will not work on Scylla but Socks and I will be more then happy to eat them, but then we takes our pills without any trouble unlike some cats we know (yes I am talking about YOU SCYLLA).

We all love the Greenies Dental Treats , they makes them for doggies too. ~Charybdis

Wordless Wednesday

We Dares you

We dares yo to find a fun way to cool off and take a picture of it. Mommy seems to think that sitting in my giant water bowl (it's a kiddie pool Fenris) is fun. She tried to get me to sit in there with her, is she STUPID????, you don't sit in water bowls. Anyway when I refused to sit in there she put my soccer ball in there and I did play paw the ball for awhile. Who knew it would float on top of the water. She insist that some dogs would like swimming in our pond, not me. Scylla and Socks think taking dust baths is the way to go and Charybdis seems to think that staying inside is the thing to do. So how do you stay cool & have fun? We are dying to know. ~Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris

It seems we didn't pay as much attention to the details as we should have, and made a mess of things. Karl has added additional directions in RED for those like us who don't read carefully. But we would still like to know how you are staying cool and having fun this summer, so leave us a comment and let us know. We need all the ideas you can think of to stay cool and have fun. And for those who are missing us we are alive and well but today is grocery store day and errand day and tomorrow Mommy is volunteering at the library so we will catch up with everyone as soon as we can. We has another idea but it's a secret for now as it may not WORK ...............

Today is the last day to enter, and we has to admit Fenris has some stiff competion. There are big dogs, little dogs and in-between dogs. There are long haired and short haired dogs. Being prejudice we thinks Fenris is the cutest but we don't envy the judges one bit, it'll be a very tough decision.

Vistors

These plump birdies have been visiting us. We thinks they are checking out the garden.

This kitty came to visit. Mommy gave her some food which she seemed to appreciate, but she was gone the next morning. We hopes she has a loving home somewhere.

Some of you heard about the doggie that came to visit us. This is a picture of her. Daddy walked and walked with her until he found her home. It was a long way from where we live. The people don't have a fenced yard and they left her outside and she wondered off. We hopes they are doing a better job of taking care of her now.

We thinks these eggs came from a woodpecker but we are not sure. We found them under the willow tree where the woodpecker hangs out when we went for our walk.

Scylla on Sunday

Well I have been elected spokesperson for our household. I am suppose to tell you that we are sorry we haven't been by to visit and we will come say Hi as soon as Mommy has time to help us. Since beans are very unreliable I suggest all of you teleport over here for a house trashing party. We has some fresh nip for snacking on and some crab quiche, tuna juice cocktail, and assorted other tasty morsels for brunch. Now I am going to go pounce my sister. ~Scylla

Lock ~ Photo Hunt

Did you LOCK the car? Mommy got this car to take Fenris to the vet, so we refers to it as the Fenmobile. It is a funny purple color called Blackberry Pearl. Sometimes it looks blue and sometimes it even looks black, most of the time it looks purple.

Flowers on Friday

This is a closeup of our Cuphea (Cuphea llavea) Flamenco Series.

We planted two in our front flower bed, and they are doing GREAT. Do you see the pretty Snapdragons on the right? We liked them lots, but they died. Mommy wishes she knew how to grow them.

This is our Cypress Vine. We have pink, white and red. We hopes it will climb up the bird feeder eventually.


These are some pretty wildflowers growing out front. Daddy chopped them down once they were through blooming but we loves the color.
