Flowers on Friday

These Impatiens have done better then we expected, we just loves them.

This is a gorgeous blue flower but we don't know it's name. We grew it from seeds.

Grandma gave us this Spiraea, we loves the pretty pink color. We will plant it in the yard this Fall if Daddy will help us.

Do you see the butterfly on the Daisy?

The Hydrangea down at the Butterfly Garden is doing great. The ones up at the house look pathetic. We shall try to move them this Fall. ~Scylla the Gardening Cat

Twins on Thursday

I like to sit in Mommy's flowerbed and spy on Fenris. For some reason Mommy doesn't like me sitting in her flower bed.

This flowerbed down at the Whiskers' Memorial Butterfly Garden is a good place to spy on birds. I am looking at a funny waterbird that is in our pond. Mommy will try to get a picture of it, but it is very shy and moves really fast so at this time all she has is a blur. ~Charybdis

I like to nap with my Daddy.

I hold him really tight so he will know how much I love him. ~Scylla

Fenris & Socks

Fenris & Socks are doing the Q, drop by Do The Q! to check out their entries and enter yourself.

Tails on Tuesday by Fenris

Some of you know that me and my tail belong to Cliff & Olivia's Tail Chasers Club. Me and Hrodvitnir are member #33.

Mommy thought it was time we gave you photographic proof that I do indeed chase Hrodvitnir.

In fact I sometimes catch him.

Mancat Monday

Sometimes you just gotta stretch.

Then you can curl up and get a good nap in.

Scylla on Sunday

Daddy wonders why I always sleep with my paws over my eyes. Maybe it's cause my naps are interrupted by that flashy thing. I have been reading Lord of the Rings. It is a very entertaining book even if it was written by a bean. Alas it is very long so I had to take a little nap in the middle of it.

The book shelf is one of my favourite places to hang out. I can supervise Mommy in the kitchen and watch the guys play Halo in the family room at the same time.

Caturday with Charybdis

Shhh, I am not suppose to be on the table but I wanted a closer look at the flowers. ~Charybdis

Flowers on Friday

These are 4 O'clocks. We don't have any good pictures of them when they are awake and looking pretty Mommy doesn't have the camera. By the time she remembers to go get a picture of them they are asleep again. They certainly are sleepy flowers.

We like them a lot though and hope they come back next year.

Somebody asked where we got the butterfly chair that is in the butterfly garden. We don't remember. Mommy ordered it online for Daddy's birthday, we shopped around online and found it on sale with free shipping. ~Scylla

      I am so excited!!!!!!!

Hi it's Scylla here. I am so excited King Brian got his very first award and he passed it on to me, Scylla!!!!!!! Isn't it pretty with the flowers and the butterfly?

The translation means "Your Blog Doesn't Stink" and the only rule is to link to the blogger that gave it to you (that's Brain at Brian's Home) and pass it on to 5 others!

      1. Socks' girlfriend MoMo who blogs at Mieow
      2. Charybdis' boyfriend Cliff and his sister Olivia who blog at Cliff & Olivia
      3. Khyra from Khyra's Korner
      4. Phantom & Thunder (I also wants to give it to Princess Dakota, even though she is an angel at the Rainbow Bridge) from The Chronicle of Woos
      5. Pughy at Ginger Jasper

Brian, thank you so much for this award. I am tinkled pink.

We will try to visit our friends tomorrow. The bad Mommy ran away and had her hair done and meet an old friend for lunch and now she is whining about having a headache and a sore throat and wanting to lie down, so we has to turn off the computer and play quietly. I thinks I shall go nap with Mommy as I am sure hearing me purr will make her feel better.

      Mancat Monday ~ Socks

I like sitting in Daddy's chair. He never makes me move.

Scylla always likes to be higher then everybody so she is sitting on the desk. She is telling me all about this new mancat she meet. I think she likes him a lot. He is a King and his first name starts with a B. She will not tell me more then that cause she doesn't know IF he likes her, or IF he already has a girlfriend. She said he has pretty green eyes like I do and that his stripes remind her of me, or maybe it was that my eyes and stripes reminded her of him. She was gushing on and on about him so, it got kinda confusing.

Being Scylla's brother I felt compelled to give her some manly advice. In case King B, decides to come courting my sister.

      Tongue Action

Fenris stuck out his tongue for Rocky Creek Scotties & Java, go by their blog to see all the neat tongues displayed.

      Scylla on Sunday

Hello everyone, Daddy is rocking up the front flowerbed. Doesn't it look pretty?

I like to hang out around it and help Mommy with the plants.

After working in the yard I need a nice long nap.

      Rocks ~ Photo Hunt

There are ROCKS around Whiskers' grave in the Whiskers' Memorial Butterfly Garden.

Daddy used ROCKS to make the raised flowerbed in the front yard.

      Flowers on Friday

Hi everybody, do you want to come on a walk with me?

      Ok, lets go............................................

This is where we saw a rabbit the other day. Mommy of course didn't have her camera. We ran all the way back to the house and collected the camera and hurried back but the rabbit was gone.

This is a big teacup and Mommy is awful silly to put flowers in there. It was made for me to drink out of don't you think? I mean she can't really expect me to drink out of those tiny teacups she uses.

The Stokes Aster looks lovely. We loves the purple shade it is.

Now awhile back JFF was advertising for a chef, but then they decided to keep Jan. Well I am advertising for a dog walker. I need one who isn't afraid of snakes. See lately when we go walking we see snakes. Mommy goes eek and back to the house we go. On our last walk we saw a black snake, Mommy actually did try to take a picture of it as it is nonpoisonous but the camera battery was deaded. Anyway the snake was in our path so our walk was cut short. So I am advertising for someone who isn't afraid of snakes and will pick them up and move them when they are in our path.

Some of you know that I am going to Dog Obedience School on Tuesday nights. It is lots of fun and there are lots of other puppies there for me to play with. Because I pull on my leash when I am out in public they put a pinch collar on me. It does not hurt me and it does help Mommy control me better. We thinks once I get used to being around lots of other people and doggies I will not have to use it.

      Tidbits

We wants to tell you about a new blog we found it's called Homeless Cat Care. The blog is about a colony of feral or abandoned cats that live in Arizona. This blog reminded us that there are very good and caring people in our world.

We are very sad for our friend Elsie at the Whiskers & Purrs Gang. All she wanted for her birthday was for Anderson Cooper to send her birthday wishes. Well to make a long and tragic story short he didn't and now she is heartbroken. But just to show you how generous and loving Elsie is she is still making a donation to THE BEST LITTLE CATHOUSE In Pennsylvania. This is a wonderful place that cares for sick cats that do not have homes, they also care for wildlife. While Elsie may not matter to Anderson Cooper, she matters to us and we know her donation has helped to make life better for these cat.

      Thank you MoMo & SS

We are very behind on showing you the lovely things MoMo and SS sent. Can you see the gorgeous butterflies on the scarf and the pretty scarf pin (Mommy just has it pinned to her shirt) they were part of a fundraiser to help the hearing impaired. Mommy had to try them on right away, they were so pretty (she has the bracelet on too).
You can see the cute bracelet better here, it was handmade by Miss Peach's human. We aren't sure if you can see it but the clasp is a very cute kitten. It was tucked inside the kitty wallet for safe keeping. The kitty key ring (and see Mommy already has the key to the Fit on it) was part of a fundraising effort to help educate the children in remote hill areas of south-western China

And this lovely addition to our family keeps watch over Mommy's desk. We have named her Miss Aussie.

Now we planned to show you a picture of the envelope, but Mommy is as impatient as Scylla so she opened it before she even thought about making pictures. Then she had to go try everything on and look in a mirror. By the time she thought about making pictures Scylla had shredded it. Scylla reports it made a lovely toy and thanks SS & MoMo for sending it. And we has to say it couldn't have picked a better day to arrive. See it came on the day we didn't have electricity all day cause they buried the power lines to save our live oak trees from being cut down (they made a very nice dust bath in the front yard for me ~ Scylla). So as you can imagine it was a very nerve wracking day as we didn't know if they would get the power back on that day for sure (there was some mention of having to wait until the next day), so the presents were a lovely distraction and gave us something to smile about while we waited for electricity.

      Mancat Monday

Sometimes a mancat has to make his beans sit still and give him some lap time.

      Scylla on Sunday

Sunday's are a good day to rest and daydream. Charybdis dreamed about a handsome mancat and the next thing you know she had a boyfriend. His name is Cliff and he is very nice. So now I am going to dream about a handsome mancat and see if one comes to find me.

And no, I am not going to fall off the bookshelf Mommy.
