Mancat Monday

I am watching Fenris.

He likes to play.

I like to play with Daddy.

I like to sleep on this. Mommy says it is a toy, but I thinks it is a bed.

I also like to sleep in the cube.

Purrs 4 Peace Week 25 Announcement: I'm Thankful for Gratitude

We are joining Confucius Cat in Purrs 4 Peace Week 25 Announcement: I'm Thankful for Gratitude. We are thankful for so many things. We are thankful Socks came home safe and sound. We are thankful Charybdis is over her cold. We are so happy that we have a warm home to sleep in and good food to eat and that we are part of a loving family. And we hopes that we will always see the many things we have to be grateful for in our life. Don't forget to visit Confucius Cat's blog and join us in PURRING!

Scylla Sunday

What am I doing?

I am laying in the sunshines dreaming of hummingbirds. They have all flown South for the winter. I wishes I could convince them to spend the winter in our greenhouse.

When I finally went inside I found some fresh nip in my box. Thank you Mommy.

I do not approve of all the rain we have been getting. Mommy make it stop raining NOW!

I guess I will go back in and play with Socks.

Now it is time for a nap. Go away Mommy I need some shut eye.

Technology

We wishes they would invent some TECHNOLOGY  to keep Eldest Boy Beans' room clean.

We bets we could make lots of money if we invented some room cleaning TECHNOLOGY.

Instead we has to use the low-tech Mommy to clean the room and then she doesn't have time to help us blog.

Feline Friends Friday

These kittens live at our Grandma & Grandpa's House.

Midnight is Mommy's favourite he likes to be petted.

This is Lady Feather. Her tail is longer then she is.

She will only come if Mommy has something yummy for her to eat and then she runs if Mommy tries to pet her. She does eat out of Mommy's hand though and Mommy has touched her a time or two .

This kitten looks like a raccoon. We don't know if it is a boy or a girl. It hardly ever comes out from under the shed and won't even come to Mommy for yummy foods. Mommy calls it Ivory because of the color of it's fur.

Happy Thanksgiving!

~Alasandra, Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris

Due to our staff having to do stuff like cook we will be unable to visit today but we will be thinking about all of you. And for some reason stupid blogger didn't post this when it was suppose to. So Happy Thanksgiving Late.

Society of Feline Gardeners ~Thursday in the Garden

This butterfly is living in our Greenhouse.

One of our fall chores is to clean out the greenhouse and put the plants in pots inside the greenhouse. This is very time consuming and not much fun. It usually gives the Mommy a backache which makes her cross.
But we do like seeing the plants blooming in there all year and the animals that live in there. There are LOTS of LIZARDS living in our greenhouse. We do not like the wasp and fire ants that are in there though. We wishes the Daddy would get rid of them.

This is a wildflower

It is growing in our tomato bed.

The tomatoes are deaded now. We may try to hang some from the ceiling in our greenhouse this winter.

Scylla & Fenris Visiting

I am visiting Fenris today.

Scylla come down and play with me.

Let me thinks about that ...............NO!

I might pounce on the hummingbird though.

OMD What is that (Barking loudly to chase it off)!!!!!

It's a blimp silly, Dogs can be so silly sometimes.

Purrs 4 Peace Week 24: Announcement - Hunting for Peace not Animals

Purrs 4 Peace Week 24: Announcement - Hunting for Peace not Animals

We has to add we don't think there is anything wrong with beans hunting for FOOD after all we hunt for food ourselves. At least when we are allowed out. But for sport, trophies or adventure is just plain wrong. We are totally disgusted by hunters who leave injured animals to suffer instead of tracking them down and putting them out of their misery. We are also disgusted by hunters who leave the meat because it is to much trouble to carry it out. If you don't need the food DON'T HUNT. We also are disgusted by the hunters who leave their dogs. If you take a dog into the woods stick around till it comes when called or at least make sure it has a collar on so you can be contacted when it shows up at someones house STARVING.

We are also enjoying celebratory purrs that Socks is home SAFE and Charybdis is getting better.

Scylla Sunday

Sometimes big brothers can be really annoying.

See I wanted to play, but Socks wanted to finish his book. He is being very rude and telling me to go away. Don't you think he should play with me instead of reading a book?

Birds

Hummingbirds are our favourite bird.

Two hummingbirds hang out in the backyard with Fenris. They are very silly they fight over the bird-feeder.

Mommy says they have gone South for the winter. We thoughts we lived in The South.

Socks reporting:
My sisters have been driving me crazy trying to figure out where I have been. Silly Charybdis thinks I was following the hummingbirds. Apparently she doesn't realize they fly over water for a very long distance. No way could I follow them.  When I told her that she decided I went to visit Angus so we could hunt Ol 'Harold.  While I would have enjoyed hunting squirrel with my good buddy Angus Mhor I thinks he would have been cross with me for worrying Mommy. Scylla who is the more romantic thinks I went to visit MoMo. And I has to admit I would love to go visit my darling girl, but I thinks her and SS would have been cross with me for worrying Mommy too. Fenris thinks I went to the University of South Alabama with Eldest Boy Bean. See I disappeared the day he left (Monday) for college and I came back an hour after he got home (Friday).  Fenris thinks that is a huge coincidence but.......................I ain't telling where I was!

I do thinks I need to work on my timing. I forgot Friday was Advantage Multi Day. How come us cats don't have good tasting pills to prevent fleas and heartworms like Fenris does? How comes we has to have something icky put on us?  Also the Mom & Dad bean got a new mattress for their room so I had to deal with the old one being taken out and the new one put in. Let me tell you I was not happy about all the commotion. Really I thinks I deserved a better homecoming!

I wants to thank all my friends for purring for me. Those purrs really helped the Mom & the rest of the beans and they helped me too. Now we are all purring extra hard and crossing our paws that Mr. Tigger comes home too. He has been missing a very long time and his family misses him. And well the M~Cats Club, isn't the same without him.

LC, Ayla & Iza are so happy I am home they came up with these
Haiku:

"Socks came home again

The Beins cried all happy.

Socks will stay inside."

Limerick:

"There once was a cat name of Socks

And he left his house for the boondocks.

He wandered around

Not hearing Moms sounds,

But he got in to learn the door locks!"

A Shakespeare attempt:

Oh Cat, sharper in uncleue'd cruelty lost, to torture soft-bent Beings like a wisp-o-will with thine absense. Wither doeest thee travel through the night whenst away from us while we worry our midnight brains fearst for your survivl. Oh creature of the night who doest peck our very soul, with care of your existence and glee at thy return...

Oh you want to know where I have been? Well just remember my nickname is Ninja Cat. I am sure you can figure out what I was up to while I was MIA. ~Socks

Socks is HOME!!!!!!!

I just showed up in Eldest Boy Beans window today. I know he comes home on Friday. I am busy cuddling with the beans, but thanks for purring for me and supporting the beans. I guess they were really worried. They had these humongous posters of me all over the place and small posters of me in the local stores. Mom says I am also all over the Internet as MIA. I guess I am infamous. Do you think they missed me???? I have been informed I am NEVER going outside again. That seems like an  awful long time to me.  ~Socks

Socks is still AWOL

We are getting very discouraged, still no sign of Socks. It has been 5 days and we are baffled about where he could be. I have some post already prepared featuring Socks and have decided to go ahead and post them. I hope you will enjoy reading them and hopefully he will be home soon.

Fenris Friday

Mommy loves this picture of me.

I was being naughty here, I was trying to get the camera case. Mommy was too fast for me.

Sticks are fun to play with.

I think Scylla wants my stick.

Socks Still Missing

Socks is still missing. Mommy is going outside to hunt for him so we will not be able to visit much today.

Society of Feline Gardeners ~ Charybdis Reporting

This azalea blooms all year. It is an Encore Azalea.

I think the white one is my favourite.

This is a Confederate Rose. They are a type of hibiscus and they bloom in the fall.

I am reporting for The Society of Feline Gardeners. ~Charybdis

Petfood worries

This is just gross Nebraska By-Products converts unwanted dead animals into high-energy dog food, other useful products. And this just makes us sick A year to forget at Menu Foods
It was a year Paul Henderson says he would rather forget.

From the moment he initiated a recall of 60 million cans and pouches of pet food in 2007, the chief executive of Menu Foods Income Fund knew life would never be the same

We wishes we could forget March 2007, we wishes Menu Foods hadn't poisoned our beloved Whiskers. Mr. Henderson we will never forget that our Whiskers died because you sold food that was not safe for  pets to eat.

For pet food retailers and sellers looking for quality products, Menu’s name remains at the top of the list, Mr. Henderson insists.

“We certainly didn’t seem to have much anonymity at the time [of the recall]. But the individuals who were in positions of decision-making, who had access to the facts, gave us comfort in our ability to weather this,” Mr. Henderson said. “Menu’s reputation in the industry remains one of a very high quality manufacturer who just happened to have been a victim of fraud.”

Note from Alasandra
I would never EVER consider purchasing a product that had any connection with Menu Foods. But now I am wondering about Diamond Pet Foods

The Chicken Soup for Cat Lovers was highly recommend to me, but when I realized it was made by Diamond I wondered if it was safe in light of the recent recalls involving Diamond.

I have been feeding The Chicken Soup for Cat Lovers (canned) to  Socks, Scylla & Charybdis in an effort to get Socks to come in at night. Socks & Scylla are fine but Charybdis is having trouble breathing. The vet said it was a possible allergic reaction and I wonder if it is to the food. She is suppose to be on canned catfood only in order not to irritate her throat and she seemed to get worse after eating last night. It may be totally unrelated to the food.

The vet said it was possible sinus allergies, some sort of respiratory virus, an allergic reaction to something like a bee sting, or asthma, but now I am obsessing about the food.

Tuesday Update Charybdis

Sorry we don't have a picture to share. We are all tireded out. I woke up about 1AM struggling to breath. The Mom & Dad gave me the the anti-inflammatory and I gots better. If fact I was playing some this morning but it was really scary for awhile. We called the VET, and they said to give the medicine a few more days to work anyway I would appreciate your purrs, I am tired of being sick and not allowed outside. ~Charybdis
