We still cry about Laika. Laika was the first living creature to orbit the earth and she died from overheating and panic just a few hours after the mission started. We are particularly outraged that the Soviets planned for her to die in space all along.
Now our own country is planning to blast squirrel monkeys with a massive dose of radiation. We do not want our tax money supporting such heinous "research".

I SPOTTED Fenris eating and decided to go eat with him.

Fenris Friday
I was very excited to win Thoughts Fur Paws December Dog Photo Contest. This was the first contest I won on my on. I couldn't believe all the terrific prizes that were in the box. I loved them all but Teddy Bear is my very favourite. I snuck him out of the box before Mommy could even get the tags off.
Mommy retrieved Teddy Bear so he could pose with the treats and she could get the tags off.
I named this stuffie Mr. Longarms. I was a little worried he might try to eat my treats.

Thursday in the Garden by Scylla
Finally a pretty day. I thought I would do some gardening.
From up here I can see what is still blooming in the Butterfly Garden.
Mommy says this wildflower has gone to seed.
A splash of color in the front flower bed.
The strawberries are still blooming.
The Jade plant on the front porch.
Since the weather was in the 70's this weekend Mom & Dad trimmed the blueberries back (finally), pulled up the dead tomatoes and did some weeding, while I supervised from the jungle gym.
Fenris went to see if he could spot some blackberries blooming for me but he didn't see any. I guesses it is still to early, we has some growing wild in our woods. Also someone asked if the pond is in our yard. The answer is yes it is. It is by the Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden where Charybdis & Whiskers are buried. The Daddy had to spend a good portion of his weekend unstopping the pipe the beaver had stopped up so it wouldn't flood to bad here when it rains AGAIN. I am tired of rain. ~ScyllaThink Green

Now for our review:
Daddy usually complains after Mommy cleans cause he doesn't like the smell of the cleaning products she uses. But he didn't complain at all when Mommy used these. They have a very pleasant scent, even we cats and dogs don't object to it. Mommy likes it cause she says it is safe for the environment. We has to say the Litter Box Cleaner was a real life saver as her Majesty Queen Scylla refused to use the litter box after Artemisia had used it until Artemisia's stinky new kid scent was removed. We thoughts it did a such a good job on our litter-boxes we had Mommy spray some in the stinky garbage can in the laundry room, it smells lots better now. We had Mommy use the Wood & Tile on both the laminated floor (Wilson Art) in the entryway (where Artemisia's litter box is now) and the tile in the master bathroom (where Artemisia's litter-box was when they first brought her home) and all offensive lingering odors were removed and the floor looks nice to boot. Since these products were doing such a bang up job we thoughts we would give it a really hard test; the wet dog smell in Mommy's car (aka The Fenmobile), so we sent her to clean the car with the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. We are happy to report it smells lots better now. We really likes these products and we hopes the Mom will keep using them.

Our friend Crystal went to the rainbow bridge January 24th. This makes us very sad. He lived with Jan and the gang at Jan's Funny Farm. We knows they miss him bunches.

My Gotcha Day Story
This is my first Christmas.
Little did I know how much my life would change December 25th. I was born at Grandma & Grandpa's house. They has a lot of barn cats. They feeds us and if we will come up on the deck the Grandma will play with us if the weather is nice. But they don't let us in the house no matter how much it rains or how cold it gets. They say we can take care of ourselves. Some of us don't come around people cause we are afraid. But I was brave. I came up to the deck with my sibling, who is normal size. He liked to be petted he would come to Mommy even when she didn't have food. I would only come when she had ham & eggs for me to eat, but I did come. My other sibling who is small like me wouldn't even come around for food. On December 25th Mommy, Daddy & the boy beans came to visit Grandma & Grandpa and they brought the carrier with them. They were planning to bring me HOME. Mommy feed me and Midnight Greenies and let us in for a little bit (Grandma & Grandpa don't like cats in the house). Midnight didn't like being inside and tried to get back out. But I liked laying next to the warm fire. When she caught me Saturday I was very happy to stay in her lap next to the fire until it was time to leave. And when she put me in the carrier I never made a peep.
When they got me home I wouldn't eat cause the food smelt different then what I was use too and I didn't know about having a bowl of your very own. Daddy made some scrambled eggs for me and I gobbled them up then I ate the canned cat food Mommy had tried to give me then I ate most of the dried cat food she had given me. Can you believe Scylla & Socks don't like scrambled eggs? I spent the first day in the Master Bathroom by myself and Mommy is very proud of me. I figured out what the litter box was for right off the bat and never had an accident. I got free reign of the house after that.
I loves my HOME. I has toys to play with.
Warm blankets to lay on.
I likes to play with the soccer ball just like Charybdis did. Mommy talks about her a lot.
I even got a present from Dr. Lisa.
This is my new sister, she watches me play sometimes. I wishes she liked me. I want to be her friend.
I want to be your friend too. I likes having a blog, and a Mommy & Daddy.
Mancat Monday
I am hanging out playing with my sisters.
Scylla still gets all hissy with Artemisia, so I try to keep the peace.
Mom has been giving us fresh nip to induce peaceful behavior.
See we don't have a care in the world.
Time for a nap now.

Scylla Sunday
The Powder Puff is not growing on me. I spends lots of time in the garage ALONE.
Sometimes I come in and cuddle with Socks. I loves my brother cat.
Sometimes I play with MY TOYS. The Powder Puff has been playing with them.
And sometimes I just sit and watch HER.
