Hanging

Our tomatoes are HANGING upside down in buckets.

We apparently got the dates for the hanging and public photo hunts confused. You can see our Public Photo Hunt here.

Fenris & Femme Friday

I am going to share my day with Scylla, but I gets to go first.

Silly Mommy thinks I should get in the pool.

She put my ball in the pool in an attempt to trick me into it.

Mommy moved the pool a little, I likes the way the dirt sniffs where the pool used to sit.

I am going to help Mommy in the garden today. This is a Chinese Hibiscus.

A Texas Star Hibisicus.

Mommy is weeding today. I helped pull the Garden Wagon down to the Butterfly Garden.

The Whiskers' Bed.

Mommy got this for Daddy for their anniversary.

Another Chinese Hibiscus

The Wisteria is still blooming.

I had a good time helping in the garden and I hope you enjoyed looking at the plants with me. ~Fenris
Mommy brought some new books home from the library. I am CHECKING them out.

Daddy asked me to hold up the wall for him, so that is what I am doing today.

It is a rather boring job.

Brian, would you like to come help me hold up the wall?

~Scylla

PS: Mrs Ann made a purrty new header for Charybdis, you can check it out here.  Mommy is still working on the background color but we thinks the header is so purrty we wanted to go ahead and show it to you.

Thursday in the Garden ~ Thinking of Charybdis

We are dedicating this post to Charybdis. She spent a lot of time in the Butterfly Garden helping Mommy weed when she was a live. This is her final resting place. Daddy finally got it ready to plant flowers in. We wants it to look really pretty for our sweet girl.

We transplanted a purple foxglove in the bed full of delicate blooms.

The Helitrope was planted here too. Charybdis liked purple.

We added a Buttercup, Nemesia, Angelonia, and some Coneflowers (we are not sure what the Coneflowers will look like our Daddy's Mom gave us some seedlings to put out) but they are not blooming now. We will be adding some more stuff later but we thinks Charybdis would like it.

Stop by Jonesie's to see more gardens.

Tsarina Tuesday

I believe in starting the day with a good breakfast. I also believe in cleaning your plate, Socks left some food in his bowl, I'll just finish it off for him.

Socks, what should we do today?

Socks said I should show you around the garden so here we go. This is Rosemary.

The only thing I recognize in this pot is the Ornamental Pepper and it DIED.

Heliotrope

Us cats just love the catnip.

I think I'll nom a little of it.

Yellow Mums

One of the icky bugs that have been eating our plants. I guess I should catch him and eat him for Mommy.

Now I needs some help from my subjects friends. Mr. Cloud, Mr. Sun and all those pesky bugs and weeds are not minding me at all. They are very naughty. I needs a dungeon to put them in and I suppose I needs some royal guards to round them up and throw them in the dungeon. So does anyone want to volunteer to be at me beck and call  help.

Mr. Cloud - guilty of not raining when we need it and of raining too much when we don't need rain. The garden would do much better if you would follow my watering instructions.

Mr. Sun - I thinks Fin has mentioned  over at Housecat Confidential that you are overdoing it a bit, and I has to agree. It is too hot. You are drying all the water up that the plants need to grow, you sucks it right out of the ground and make it feel like a sauna here. You should stop NOW. You has my permission to work shorter hours. I sincerely hope you follow my guidelines or my royal guards (when I finds some) will throw you in the dungeon they are building.

Bugs - you are guilty of eating our plants and vegetables. Personally I thinks throwing you in a dungeon is too good for you, so I shall just bite your heads off if you don't stop. Royal guards you may help me chase bugs and bite their heads off. There are so many bugs this year I thinks it might take a huge army of cats to accomplish this, doggies you may help if you would like.

Weeds - stop growing, Mommy is exhausted from pulling you up and we are tired of her not having as much time to spend pampering us. I shall send the royal guards ( WHERE ARE MY VOLUNTEERS) after you immediately.

(Alasandra) Funny Artemisia seems to be getting about as much help weeding as I do.

Mancat Monday ~ Socks

Being the only mancat in a house of girlcats is hard work.

Sometimes I have to show them who wears the pants in this family.

I like to hang out and do Manly things with my Dad, like play video games.

We play Halo a lot.

Sometimes I play with my sisters. Yes, I know the mouse is PINK, it is still MINE.

I also help Daddy with the yard work.

Scylla Sunday

As Chief Housecat I am responsible for helping Mommy keep track of things. Like when it is time to take the library books back. The calendar is very helpful with this chore. I utilize it often.

I also make sure Mommy has done a good job cleaning the dining room chairs.

I guess it is clean enough Mommy.

Now that my chores are done I am free to spend some time in the garden. Look how pretty the Angel Trumpet is.

It has lots of blooms on it. So far the pink one is the only one that has bloomed.

Our Buttercup, it has reseeded itself nicely and Mommy has even transplanted a few to other flower beds.
