Boo!

Happy Halloween!!
Alasandra, Artemisia, Fenris, Socks & Scylla

Fenris Friday

Mommy was messing around with the camera again.

Look at the treat I got for being a Good Boy.

Now  I am going to stand guard over my flock family.

I am protecting them from lizards, crawfish and other vermin.

Lizards are pretty tasty.

Now I am going to rest for awhile.

For some reason Mommy loves my fluffy tail.

Thursday in the Garden

The Buttercup, still blooming up a storm.

The pink Angel Trumpet. We rooted the yellow one.

The Pineapple Sage. Hummingbirds and Butterflies love it.

 Purple Heart.

Several of our friends were surprised that we have orchids growing wild in Mississippi so we thoughts we would tell you. "Wild orchids are some of Mississippi's rarest and most beautiful wildflowers, but they are dependent upon a certain fungus in the soil to grow and are seldom transplanted with success".You can read more about all the pretty flowers we has growing wild in Mississippi here.

Enjoy more gardens at Jonesie's place.

Tsarina Tuesday ~ Artemisia

We got this litter box from CSN Stores. It is the largest litter box we has and it has a door on it for privacy so I have claimed it as my own. We each has our own litter box now. I kinda liked it in the house but Mommy & Daddy put it out in the garage with the other litter boxes after Mommy took the picture. ~Artemisia

PS: Thank you for your purrs, prayers and crossed paws for our Grandpa. He is home from the hospital now but has restrictions on his activity and what he can eat. Mommy is looking for some good low sodium, low cholesterol dishes to fix for Thanksgiving. Mommy & Daddy have been helping feed the goats and do stuffs around their house, so we won't be visiting or blogging regularly for awhile but will post and visit when we can. ~AFSS

Thank You

Thank you for purring for our Grandpa. We will be back to blogging and visiting as soon as we can. ~AFSS & Alasandra

Thursday in the Garden

Our Confederate Rose. We loves the pretty pink color.

The Lily Pads and some Wildflowers growing in the pond.

Fenris is looking for interesting Wildflowers for us.

 The Sniffie Rose

One of the beds at the Hummingbird Cottage

As you can see Mommy has trellis on three sides and she has the side closes to the pond open so you can view the pond and the Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden from the Hummingbird Cottage.

Our Zinnias, we wonder if they will reseed themselves and come up again next year? We hopes they do.

Another Confederate Rose, this bloom is white but it will gradually turn pink as the day goes on.

The view of the Butterfly Garden from the Hummingbird Cottage.

 The Charybdis Bed.

Our Goldflame Honeysuckle. It came in the mail, and part of the vine was broken. We wound up having to cut the broken vine off (Mommy is trying to root it, she hated to just throw it away). The remaining vine is doing good and we can't wait to see it bloom in the spring. Since it is so little we wonders if it will bloom?

Another Confederate Rose. It is a type of hibiscus and it blooms in the fall.

Visit Jonesie to see more Society of Feline Gardeners gardens.

Tsarina Tuesday ~ Artemisia

Boy doggies are very silly and immodest, I mean just look at Fenris showing his privates to the whole blog world. We hopes this counts as a Tocktober entry cause Mommy says this is most likely as close as we are going to get. (Sigh) and it isn't even cat tocks. Happy Birthday anyway Derby and we will keep trying for a Tocktober shot that involves cats.  We still has one day left.

Fenris is puzzled because I am going walking with him. He thinks something is stalking him (giggling)  well something is ME!
I hides in the woods whenever he turns around. Rats Mommy caught me with the camera. Now they knows it was me making all the noise and scaring them.

Mancat Monday ~ Socks

Guess you found me, and here I thought I had found the purrfect hiding spot. Would you like to go look at the flowers? Fall in Mississippi  is a good time for flowers. We has lots of wildflowers growing now. And it is still mostly in the low 80's during the day. We could sure use some rain though. It only rained once in September and it hasn't rained at all this month. We are in a drought.
This is the purple Lantana. It grows in the Butterfly Garden and a Butterfly is visiting it.

Wildflowers, they are growing on the back side of the pond.

This is some sort of orchid growing wild.

Thank you Islay

Islay gave us this lovely award. For those of you who haven't meet Islay yet, he is a handsome pup who blogs at Charlie's Dog Blog.

We are suppose to tell 7 things about ourselves and pass this award on to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.

Scylla
  1. I am a diluted calico
  2. I am very demanding and want what I want NOW.
  3. My nickname is Kitty Cow.
  4. I like to hunt
  5. I spend most of my time under Mom & Dad's bed or on top of it.
  6. I love to climb
  7. I am a love bug and demand that Mommy give me loving instead of folding laundry.
Socks
  1. I am the oldest of the fur kids.
  2. I have my own theme song that Daddy made up for me.
  3. I like to stay out all night in the Fall, the beans do not like this and get very cross with me.
  4. I came from Grandma's house.
  5. I like raw shrimp, but I do not like cooked shrimp.
  6. I am very shy and timid.
  7. I love to play with Artemisia, but I will not play with Scylla as she plays to rough. We thinks Scylla was a football player in a past life as she likes to tackle you. Scylla weighs more then me and Artemisia. Artemisia plays very gentle with me, but she plays rough with Scylla.
Artemisia
  1. I came from Grandma's house.
  2. I eat like a pig.
  3. My nicknames are Mouse, Mini Meow and The Butt.

  5. I don't mind being giving a bath but I hate being dried off.
  6. I kisses Fenris on the nose.
  7. I don't mind going to the Vet, they oohs and aahs over me.

  3. I will share my food with the cats.
  4. I weighed 64# the last time I went to the vet.
  5. I like going to the vet.
  6. I LOVE riding in the car.
  7. My favorite thing in the whole world is sitting in Mommy's lap. I do not understand why she complains about being squashed when I sit in her lap.
Alasandra
  1. I like to read.
  2. I love animals.
  3. I love flowers. I don't necessarily like to garden, I merely do it in order to have flowers. I would LOVE to have a gardener and a housekeeper.
  4. I like to cook, but would like it better if there was someone to clean up the mess I make.
  5. I love being outside and enjoy hiking. I have no desire to camp out over night and the idea of primitive camping (which my youngest son did recently) leaves me cold. NO BATHROOMS, NO RUNNING WATER NO ME.
  6. I miss having horses to ride.
  7. My favorite part of the meal is dessert.
Now for the 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic. This is a tough one. So we are just going to invite our  readers to take the award, if they don't already have it. Although we are going to mention one kitty who is new to blogging Lily Sassymeow, we hopes you will drop by and tell her hi.  ~Alasandra & AFSS
