Artemisia - I gets to go first cause my name starts with an A. I love scrambled eggs, I loves to play, I has curly hair on my tummy, I meow very quietly, I came from Grandma & Grandpa's house just like Socks, I am named after a plant and a Greek Goddess.
Fenris - I am named after a God in Norse Mythology, I have blue eyes, I loves to sit in my Mommy's lap, I loves to play, I spend most of my time sitting around watching things, I love Salmon, Peanut-butter and Cheese.
Socks - I am youngest boy beans cat, I came from Grandma & Grandpa's house like Artemisia, I am a senior kitty, I like raw shrimp but will not eat cooked shrimp, I also like to eat lettuce, I caught a real live rabbit (but it made Mommy sad), I have green eyes.
Scylla - I cover my eyes up when I sleep, I weigh the most of all the cats, I snore when I sleep, I am a lovebug and love my Mommy most of all, I am named after a monster in Greek mythology, Daddy named me, Most of the time my eyes are closed or half closed.

 Vanessa Agnes woke me up to tell me a secret.

 She said that her and Victoria Ruth love me, but the twins don't like me so much cause I squash them.

 So I went to sleep with Socks in Mommy & Daddy's bed.

Swinging Cats & Dogs

Artemisia: Guess what??? When the boy beans were little they used to have a swing set. I thinks we should make the Mom get us one.

Scylla: I bet she could find a swing set for us at Wayfair.

Socks: Girls why do you want a swing set? I thinks I would rather have a hammock.They has hammocks @ Wayfair too. How about you Fenris, what do you want.


Fenris: I wants a porch swing.  

We guess we will have to let Mommy pick out what we should get. ~AFSS

Thursday (Not) in the Garden

Mommy has an ear infection so she REFUSED to go outside and take pictures for us. All she wants to do is sleep. We are not sure who is more worthless Mommy or Socks. They are both just laying around sleeping.

Socks even has the TV remote close at hand so he can watch TV without moving from the electric throw.

He seems content to spend his day dreaming of MoMo instead of GARDENING!!

I guesses we will have to do all the work. We has got some zinnia seeds to plant once Mommy is feeling better, we has white, red, purple and pink and some cactus zinnias that are a mixture of colors. Daddy helped up plant some Redbud seeds and we snopervised him trimming the blueberry bushes. And Daddy trimmed up the muscadines and trained them to grow on the trellis thing he made for them.

We are fixing to go visit Jonesie and see if she got to do any gardening this week. ~Artemisia, Fenris, Scylla & The Daddy

PS: Socks' girlfriend MoMo is feeling poorly. We are sending healing purrs to her and hope you will too. Socks is very worried about her.

Tsarina Tuesday ~Artemisia

Mommy took me to the vet Friday for my annual checkup and shots. I have gained two pounds, so I weigh five pounds now.

I am practicing being flat here. Tabby Normal is having a Flat Cat Contest and I entered it.

Now I am practicing being flirtatious, so I will be ready when my gentleman callers come to call on me.

 I used to love to play with the Dragonfly. Artemisia ate it though. Thankfully Mommy got the plastic away from her before she digested it.

We got fishes for Christmas and they are as much fun as the Dragonfly was. We also won a neat Birdie as a prize that is tons of fun. Even Scylla likes playing with it. She likes it so much she will play with it by herself.  We will be showing you pictures soon.

Scylla's boyfriend King Brian had a special request that I think is very important. He ask that I please remind you of the importance of helping out your local shelters. And I wants to add that if you see a kitty or doggie in need please do what you can to help. I  knows that it will be greatly appreciated. ~Socks

We are making ourselves at home at Mango's and having a lovely time. Being considerate kitties we decided to give Mango's Mom a hand cleaning out the junk room, Socks even found a mouse house. You can see for yourself here. ~AS & S

If I had Hands instead of paws I could type much better and it wouldn't take nearly as long to do my Mancat Monday post. (sigh) I guess I'll just have to make do with my paws, unless Mommy will come give me a hand. ~Socks

Fenris Friday

I have been thinking about what category my cats would fit in at Mango Minster 2011 if they were dogs. Artemisia would certainly be in the Shameless Dogs and Doggie Divas category. I mean she is a Tsarina and everything and then there are her numerous suitors, and all those pictures of her showing her curly belly furs. Yep Artemisia is a Diva Cat. I think this lovely picture of her makes the case very well. She wanted me to thank Sammy & Andy for finding the purrfect hat to fit her purrfectly tinny head.

Socks would be in the Good Old Boys and Gals category (which is now full) like me. He is a true Southern Gentleman although Mommy says he is more like Rhett Butler then Bo Duke (she thinks both characters are hot though).

Scylla just loves the hat Sammy & Andy placed on her head and says thank you ever so much. And I has to admit from this picture one would think she is another Diva. But since I lives with her I knows better. I couldn't decide if Scylla was Crackers (which if full up anyway) or a Bad Sport, I thinks she is totally insane. But Bad works for her She knocks my gate down letting me out of my domain and into the carpeted areas of the house ( I kinda like this. I am to GOOD to knock the gate down myself, or jump over it but IF she lets me out it isn't my fault is it?) , she is a total toy hog, she shreds the paper in the human litter box room., she shreds the paper towels in the kitchen, she tears up the carpet, she constantly demands to go out and then come in, and she wakes the beans up. Yep she is a BAD CAT, good thing she is also a LOVE BUG. And it is a good thing for all us doggies that they are cats and are entered in the Kittehs category. I sure would hate to compete with them.

Mommy just loves my mustache. She says it is CUTE!!!! And she just wants to plant a great big smoochy kiss on my mouth. Well what are you waiting for, I am all ready to be kissed and drooled over.

Thursday in the Garden

 The Camilla is still doing well and blooming.

 Daddy has been hard at work rocking up the flowerbeds around the Hummingbird Cottage.

 The roses are still doing OK.

 Carolina Jasmine is blooming, we didn't expect it to bloom this early. 

 The Roster Violet is still blooming up a storm.

Doesn't it look Gorgeous?

 The Rosemary in the Charybdis' Bed is doing well. It is so nice to see something GREEN this time of year.

 And even nicer to see something blooming.

We have been really busy with Mango Minster 2011, we likes to go visit all the new entries. The Cracker Dog category is full, and boy those Crackers are wild. They makes us tired just watching them. And Mommy was busy with her homeschool blog, something about a Carnival that we weren't invited too. We hopes to get to visit more today. Now we are off to Jonesie's for our Society of Feline Gardeners meeting.
