Sunshine Saturday & Remembering

This is the rose we planted for Sniffie, as you can see it is blooming again. We are very naughty and do not know what kind of roses we has. Grandpa rooted them for us, we didn't even know what they would look like or smell like until they bloomed. They were a wonderful surprise for us this spring. And while it was the first rose to bloom, the other roses are simply pawsome. We can't wait to show them to you.

Mommy has been very busy and we are behind visiting everyone. Please bear with us we are hoping that May will be a less stressful month. Everyone thank you for your purrs for Eldest Boy Bean. He had a Chalazion surgically removed from his eyelid. Mommy had to chauffeur him back to college and to the doctors office the next day until the bandage could be removed. He is fine now and hopefully his eye will look much better soon.

We are lighting this candle for our Beloved Whiskers & Charybdis and all our friends @ the Rainbow Bridge.

Visit Three Tabby Cat's in Vienna to see who else is lighting candles.

Remembering

We are remember our beloved Whiskers (The Last Meow) and Charybdis and all our friends at the Rainbow Bridge.

Fenris Friday

Woof, Woof, glad you could drop by for a visit.

We has lavendar, pink, purplish-pink and white Foxgloves. The Mom just loves them.

We saw a Hummingbird enjoying the Trumpet Honeysuckle. The Mom wasn't fast enough to get a picture.

 This rose smells so good.

The Gaura, we loves the way the blooms dance around.

The Grancy Graybeard and the Azalea look pawsome together.

 Blackberries growing wild. Yummy!!!!

Daddy is playing ball with me. I am a pawsome catcher and can snatch the ball right out of the air. You guessed it the Mom is too slow with the camera to get a shot.
 Bringing it back to Daddy.

Mommy spotted this goose while she was weeding.

We just love it's delicate white blooms, it is a pity they don't last longer. ~Fenris

Shout Out from AFSS

We wants to thank everyone that was concerned about the bad weather in our neck of the woods, and were concerned about us. It actually wasn't very bad here on the coast. As Mommy spent yesterday driving to Mobile, sitting around the campus while Eldest Boy Bean was in class and then driving him to the eye doctor she didn't see the news and was unaware of all the tornadoes around. It was overcast and windy here but nothing really bad.  It was kinda bad in the central part of the state where our Grandbeans live, but they are all fine and didn't suffer any property damage. So our family has been very blessed.

We are sending comforting purrs to those who were not so lucky.

Mommy has almost caught up on the house and yard work so we hopes to get some blog visiting done. ~AFSS

Thursday in the Garden

We thought we would start the garden tour down at the Butterfly Garden. He is the Grancy Graybeard, with it's pretty white blooms.

The Vitex, we are looking forward to seeing it bloom.

Pink Verbena. The bees like it.

 The Chinese Witch Hazel.

Mommy just loves this shrub. We found it's name in our Wildflowers of Mississippi book.  It is called a Fetterbush  it's scientific name is Lyonia lucida (Lam.) K. Koch.

Ok, lets head up to the Hummingbird Cottage.

 The Coral (aka Trumpet) Honeysuckle.

It starts off a kinda of salmon pink color and then turns scarlet . When it opens up the inside is a yellowish orange. Very pretty, and supposedly attractive to hummingbirds.

OK, lets go up to the house now and look in the front yard.

The Foxgloves, we has pink, white and a purplish pink.

The Johnny Jump Ups are putting on a show for us. We are thrilled with them.

The Mint is doing pawsome this year.

Now we are headed over to Jonesie's to see what the other Feline Gardeners have been up too.

Wildlife Wednesday

We counted four goslings. Mrs Goose & Mr Gander have taken them away to the field next door where the grass is taller so we won't have the chance to watch them grow up.

Sorry we are late posting. Mommy had to take eldest boy bean back to college, then bring him back home for his eye appointment so she was gone all day. We will try to do better tomorrow. ~AFSS

Tsarina Tuesday

You should always take time to enjoy the flowers.

Now it is time to hunt BUGS!

(Sigh) OK, I'll pose for a picture but make is fast Mom.

The Bottlebush Tree. Mommy got stung by a wasp when she was taking this picture.

 Orange Clover growing wild.

Close up of the Bottlebush blooms.

The Aster is blooming, very confusing as we thought these only bloomed in the fall. But we are happy to see them blooming. We are very pleased they survived the winter.

Does anybody wanna come play with me? ~Artemisia
