The Last Meow
The Last Meow has a new look, Mommy finally created a header she liked for Whiskers, with a matching background.
Tsarina Tuesday
Silly Mommy thinks Daddy built the Hummingbird Cottage for her. Me and Socks know the truth Daddy built it for me and I am nice enough to share it with everyone else.
The beds are purrfect for taking a dust bath in.

You don't see me do you?
Mancat Monday
It's too hot to go outside. I am enjoying a nice snooze inside.
Want to join me?

Peeps on Parade
Sarge ask us to tell something about our peeps so I talked Mommy into helping me with a post.
Since I have a picture of me with Dad I'll start with him. Dad is an engineer and he works on Aegis Cruisers. He and Mom were both born in Meridian, MS and now they live on the MS Gulf Coast. They have lived on the Gulf Coast ever since they got married 24 years ago. Daddy likes to work outside and he designed our Greenhouse, The Hummingbird Cottage and is responsible for rocking up all the raised flower beds. Daddy is a very hard worker and does most of the yard work. I love to play ball with Dad, which is what we are doing in the picture. Daddy is interested in politics and he is running for Jackson County District 4 Supervisor. Daddy also likes to read and blog.
I have two boy beans. They are both at University so they don't live here all the time. When they are home for breaks I enjoy walking with them. Eldest is working on a Masters in Computer Science and Youngest is working on a BA degree in History.
I loves it when Mom pets me, especially if I get to sit in her lap while she is petting me. I also enjoy going on walks with her. Mommy is a retired Homeschool Mom, I guess she was pretty good at it cause the Boy Beans are doing pawsome in college. Mommy loves to read, she LOVES flowers, and she generally likes anything with four legs and fur. She wanted a doggie so she adopted me for her Birthday. She says I am the best Birthday Present Ever.

Scylla Sunday
Since Socks is outside I thought I would snooze in his bed. It is just the right size for me. I do too fit inside of it Mommy.
I am just being careful not to crumble the red envelope.

Looking Down
Mommy was looking down when she took this picture.
It wasn't really dark outside when she took the picture, but because she was looking down the background in the first picture appeared black.
She did the same thing here. We thinks it gives a neat effect.
Fenris Friday
I had the best time last weekend. The Mom meet one of her girlfriends at the beach and guess what??????? She took me with her. I got to walk on the beach. OK, technically we were on the sidewalk but I could see the water and the boats. There were other people there with their dogs. I was very good I didn't jump on anyone and I didn't bark at the other doggies. Mommy said since I was so good we can go back. Mommy says she is going to get in shape and I can be part of her physical fitness regime. That is a fancy way of saying I can go walking on the beach with her on the weekends.
I hate to admit it but I was plumb tuckers out after all the walking, so I am going to rest up.
Maybe Mommy will actually take pictures next time, but don't count on it. ~Fenris pup reporting

Thursday in the Garden
Our pineapple sage, it is doing extremely well and the butterflies and hummingbirds love it.
Foxglove, they are beginning to die back, they don't seem to care for the heat.
Our sole surviving cilantro. We hopes it will reseed itself and there will be more next year.
That tall stuff behind it is orgeano and the plant beside it we thinks is bee balm. We are not sure and it has never bloomed for us.
Our Marigolds, these are very good Marigolds they came back all by themselves from last year.
These Watermelon came back from last year too. They are doing pawsome and have gotten a lot bigger since Mommy took this picture.
Daddy is doing an experiment to see which does best upside down tomatoes or tomatoes in 5 gallon buckets.
Strawberries, they are yummy to our tummy.
We showed you orange clover awhile back, this is yellow clover that also grows wild in our yard.

We are in a server drought here. It has not rained at all since early April. And we didn't get rain but once in April and it wasn't very much. Please purr that we gets a good rain soon. We needs it very much for the plants. Our pond is way down.

Now that we can FINALLY get into our account. We wanted to remind you about the Society of Feline Gardeners meeting today @ Jonesie's. You'll see lots of fabulous gardeners there. We will have to visit later as all our visiting time was taken up with finding out how to sign in.
We also wants to tell you to go by Tank's blog to see how to help the animals that were victims of the tornado in Joplin, Missouri.

Goodbye Sweet Butchy
Our friend Butchy had to go to the Rainbow Bridge today. Our eyes are leaking for the friends and family he left behind. Words can not express the sorrow we feel at Butchy's loss, but we know he is at the Rainbow Bridge with those who have gone before and he like they will wait patiently for their families to be reunited with them one day.
Wild Wednesday
There are some new Geese visiting our pond. Mommy thinks she saw the Geese Family on her way to the Grocery Store. She said the goslings had gotten big and she hopes Mr Gander & Mrs Goose will keep them out of the road, which is where she saw them. She thinks they were trying to get to another pond which is near a new shopping center.
Mommy thinks these three may be goslings that hatched last year. They are all grown up now.

Tsarina Tuesday
I am admiring the garden today and trying to decide what my slaves, serfs, staff, er family should do next.
The raised bed doesn't require as much weeding as some of the others.
The Cactus Zinnias in various colors. I thinks they look nice and am making a note for Mommy to get more seeds next year.
Angel Trumpet and Purple Heart. I am ordering them to grow.
Close up of the Zinnias............
Now I am taking time to smell the roses.
Seeing if the plants need watering. This dirts is too dry. Mommy you needs to water this bed.
Purple Lantana. It isn't as hardy as the pink Lantana we have, but it seems to be doing OK in the Butterfly Garden.
PS: We aren't going to get to visit much cause Mommy has something she refers to as a full plate scheduled for today. Does that mean she is going to eat a lot? Oh well I am digressing I wanted to let you know That A Cat Named Homer is asking for purrs for his doggie sister Ruby. ~Arty
