Fenris Friday

I am a very Happy Guy, When I one the stuff from Mr. Chewy not only did we get a bag of Chicken Soup dog food and a bag of cat food we got some treats for me. I gots..............................

Mommy likes them because they are good for me. I LIKES them because they taste good. I just loves my Healthy Bones. I hopes I gets to try all the flavors. Mommy really liked Mr. Chewy, the food came right to our door, she didn't have to lug it home from the grocery store like usual and the prices were competitive with our local stores. Mr Chewy also has a wide selection of food and treats, apparently I will have to keep my paws crossed that she orders stuff from Mr. Chewy again as they do not have Healthy Bones locally (Growl). ~Fenris

Thursday in the Garden

Some of the Zinnias are still looking good and some are coming up from seeds from the first crop.

 The Blue Daze is dazzling.

 The Butterflies are fluttering around.

The Candlebush is breathtaking. It gives our yard a nice tropical feel.

The Charybdis Bed after Mommy cut down all the Zinnias. It looks much better now and the Pineapple Sage should be blooming any day now.

Mommy is working on the big flower bed. All the Verbena died in it. The Texas Star Hibiscus never came up and the Chinese Hibiscus isn't doing very well in there. Right now Mommy is working on getting all the weeds out. There were HUGE Fire Ant beds in there so she had to put ant poison out and wait for the ants to die before she could finish it up. (Sigh) it is taking her a very long time to finish tidying it up. We may try to get some more plants for it. I am going to snoopervise from the shade.

Scylla, Socks & Fenris are on their way to the Society of Feline Gardeners meeting at Jonesie's. They will give the report on our garden and let me know what is going on in everyone else's. I really wanted to go but (sigh) someone had to stay here and make sure Mommy didn't slack off.

Wildlife Wednesday

The Butterflies are fluttering around our flowers.

The Hummingbirds are busy flying around and fighting with each other. They spends more time fighting with each other then they do @ the feeder. Hummingbirds aren't very smart. There is plenty of food for all of them, they should just share.

Look at all the grass Daddy has to cut. He just finished and boy does it look nice. He does all the weed eating and grass cutting all by himself. He even picked up the weeds Mommy left on the ground before he cut the Butterfly Garden with the push mower.

More hummingbirds..............

This Butterfly is a pretty blue.

Our wishbone flower.

Tsarina Tuesday

Mommy had to cut the Zinnias in the Charybdis Bed down. They were getting scraggly. But the Pineapple Sage and Rosemary are looking good in there. If you biggify the picture you mights see a surprise laying in the bed.

The Candlebushes are blooming, aren't they gorgeous. All sorts of birds, bees, butterflys, and ants love them. We are not thrilled about the ants. Frankie, I wants to reassure you that the Candlebushes will not burn you, they aren't those kind of candles.

Bast, Mommy found me with the flashy beast.

I thought I was well hidden.

I will just go find somewhere else to hide.

Mancat Monday

I am just enjoying being outside in the jungle gym. Was having a nice snooze until Mommy started taking pictures with the flashy beast. Wanna come hang out on the jungle gym with me? ~Socks

Breaking News on Scylla Sunday

I has been accepted into the Ladies of Autumn. ~Scylla

Scylla Sunday

I am watching the birds. They seem to be enjoying the cooler weather and all the blooms we has now. Thanks to Tropical Storm Lee and the rain it brought. We needs it to rain some more as it hasn't rained since.

The herb garden is looking pathetic.

 The Muscadines are looking good.

 A Morning Glory growing wild.

And these two butterflies were having a fight. Since there are plenty of flowers, I don't know what they were fighting about. I tried to ask them but they flew off. ~Scylla

Chancy the Gardener gave us this pawsome award. We are very pleased Chancy enjoyed reading some of our older post and we hopes you will enjoy them too. Thank you Chancy. ~AFSS

Photo Hunt Yellow ~ Party @ Asta's

Livestrong Day is October 2nd. This is the picture Mrs Ann made for us to use last year. On October 2nd we will unveil our picture for Livestrong Day 2011.  We hopes you will join us in participating in Livestrong Day. To find out more about it please visit the Livestrong Blog here.

The color for Livestrong Day is YELLOW. The flowers in the above picture are a yellow Angel Trumpet (top),  yellow Buttercup (middle in the middle and a whole bed of them at the bottom) and our yellow Candlebush (middle right side).

Now we are off to Asta's to help her celebrate her 5th Birthday.

While Socks & MoMo are stuck in traffic, with the rest of the gang................

Ollie, Gracie, Opus( back seat), Momo, Karl  (2nd Row) Rusty, Merci, Cyndi, Buddy, Ruis (back seat), Socks (3rd row) Cameron, Sam, Cotton, Percy

Brian, Scylla, Prince Casper, Artemisia and Fenris are already at Asta's and ready to party.

King Brian, Queen Scylla, Asta, Prince Casper, Tsarina Artemisia & Fenris

Since Scylla has lost some weight Artemisia suggested they leave for New York early so they could do some shopping. Somehow Arty even purrsuaded Brian, Prince Casper and Fenris to come along. Prince Casper hired a limousine to chauffeur them around to all the stores.  Arty found the purrfect pair of high heels, she is almost as tall as Fenris in them. When fashionista Arty saw the green dress she advised Scylla to get it as it matched her eyes purrfectly and she looked pawsome in it. When Scylla saw how Brian looked at her in it she happily followed Arty's advice. After a romantic carriage ride in Central Park the limousine delivered them to Asta's door step. Scylla and Arty brought some flowers for Asta that they picked in our Butterfly Garden. They tried to bring some butterflies, but the silly things refused to cooperate with them. Apparently they did not wish to attend a party in New York. A wonderful evening was had by all once Socks, MoMo and the gang arrived.

Happy Birthday Asta!!!!!

Asta, Thank you for inviting us to celebrate with you. ~AFSS

Fenris Friday

You wanna play chase with me?

Loving the cooler weather I am feeling much more energetic. Arty update - she is doing great. Scylla stopped hissing at her because of the way she smelled and started hissing at her because she wouldn't leave her alone.  ~Fenris

Arty got an A+

The vet said Artemisia's paw looks good and that she can resume her normal activities. ~AFSS

Scylla Says Help Cobbie Please

My boyfriend Brian is trying really hard to find Cobbie a home. She is considered less adoptable because she has FIV, but I thinks she is cute as can be and really spunky, she is about 8 weeks old. If you can find room in your heart and home for Cobbie please contact Brian.

You can read more about FIV here.

Happy Birthday Opus

We are over at Gracie's helping Opus' (Cat Naps in Italy) celebrate his 16th purrday. Come join us.

Wildlife Wednesday

This Woodpecker has a nest in our Willow Tree. We thinks it is a Red-bellied Woodpecker. When the boy beans were little they called them Halloween Birds.

Tsarina Tuesday

I am resting in Fenris' bed. I wants to go outside and PLAY!!!!!

Talk Like A Pirate Mancate Monday

Ahoy Mates, I am Captain Meate Sparrow. How did I get my name you ask, well some guy named Sparrow was annoying me so me ate him. All the other pirates started saying Meate Sparrow, and the name stuck. If you annoys me I'll eat you too.

Now shiver me timbers weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen! cause there is a gale blowing in. I am headed to the Poop deck for a nap. Skinny Leg  wants to meow at you now.............................

They thinks I look like a pirate kitty with my hurt paw. They says I can be First Mate Skinny Leg on Captain Meate Sparrow's pirate ship.
You wouldn't know my paw had a hurty if they hadn't shaved it. I am walking, running and jumping on it good. They thinks I may have just got it caught in something. They couldn't tell for sure what happened so Mommy has to keep an eye on it. If the skin starts sloughing off it was a snake bite and I has to go back to the vet, if not I probably just got it caught in something. I is taking an antibiotic to prevent infection. I do not like the antibiotic and wish I could make Mommy walk the plank when she gives it to me.

I also wishes I could make her open the door and let me outside. I do not like staying inside. Mommy said she would ask the vet about me going outside, since I am climbing the walls (literally and figuratively).

I will be glad when my fur grows back and I am free to go outside. ~Skinny Leg
